Free printable: Make a Collage

So happy to share my new ‘Make a Collage’ activity for families!

This 5-page print out features colorful images that kids can print out, cut up, and make new crazy compositions from.

Collages were made famous by Surrealist artists like Max Ernst, Marcel Duchamp, and Man Ray. I love them because they encourage children to use their imagination to create original and creative artworks. They are also a great way for young children to practice their cutting and pasting fine motor skills!

I would LOVE to see the creations your family makes so please add the hashtag #ArtPlayChildrenLearning to any social media pics you upload so I can cheer you along.

You may like to also check out the work of Anna Bu Kliewer and Jazz Grant for inspiration!

Happy making!

Louisa

    Hi Louisa
I and my colleagues at Africa A+ Schools are so excited by what you are doing with art, creativity and repurposed materials. You are an inspiration. We work with disadvantaged preschools in semi-rural areas in South Africa nurturing (teacher and children) creativity through the arts using Simon Nicholson’s ‘loose parts’. Carole recently started a materials centres in a small town where most of the poor schools are located. I am sharing the link to your website with some of the school principals (not all of them have internet access) so they can also be inspired.
    Best wishes
    Anya
